I remember when my good friend and I were hit by a hurricane about seven years ago.
Our electricity was out for ten afternoons.
Of course, those living in the wealthier areas of town had their electricity back on almost immediately, but, my good friend and I awful folks had to wait. It was horrible. The temperatures stayed around the low to middle nineties, which my good friend and I were used to, but, the humidity was unbearable. And, it felt like that hurricane took all the breeze with it; Because my good friend and I were in the neglected side of town, our drainage system wasn’t as good as it was in the wealthier areas, and, after a few afternoons, the mosquitoes were unbearable! It’s not like my good friend and I could sit in our homes with the doors closed. It was way too hot. And, most of us in that part didn’t have the luxury of screened doors or screened in porches. I really went to my brother’s home in addition to borrowed my infant nephew so that my neighbor would feel disappointing enough to hook us up to his generator in addition to my good friend and I could run our fans, at least. I couldn’t wait for our power to come back on so that my good friend and I could run our air conditioner. It was so humid in addition to the bugs were so awful, I still cringe thinking about it. It took ten long afternoons before our power was restored. My friend and I had to wait for unit to be brought down from up North. Boy, were my good friend and I grateful to have our air conditioning back!

I grew up in a tropical area where it gets below sixty degrees maybe twice a year.
Then, my cabin city got too big for my tastes, so, I moved my family eight hours north.
I still live in a part of the US considered the deep south, so, I particularly didn’t expect to be too affected by cold weather. Boy, was I wrong. It gets cold here, plus I discovered that I don’t like the cold at all. I am renting a house that has no heat. My good friend and I use little safety space boilers while in the winter, plus they particularly aren’t easily effective when the hot plus cold temperatures go down to the thirties plus twenties. There are too multiple cold spots in the house, and when my good friend and I finally buy a cabin here, I am absolutely choosing a house with an Heating plus A/C component already installed, or I will have a ductless mini-split air conditioner plus furnace installed, then last year, I finally decided to replace our space boilers to a nice big one that looks like a fireplace. I cherish it. It’s portable, but, my good friend and I keep it in the family room. It does a pretty good job of heating up the living areas plus the living rooms while in the morning, when the living room doors are open. But, unfortunately, my good friend and I still need to use the little ineffective space boilers at night. I think, until my good friend and I find a house to buy, I will invest in a heating blanket, because I particularly do not like the cold at all.

The furnace in our dorm was not working properly.
We were all excited about the fall semester, but we had a big problem with the furnace.
I remember walking into my room on a hot day, excited to feel the refreshing air of the air conditioner, but instead I was met by some extreme heat. I set my stuff down and checked the thermostat. The thermostat read an extremely high temperature, but the thermostat also said that the furnace was off. I went to the air ducts and felt warm air coming out, which confirmed that the heater was indeed on, and it was not working properly. I went to the front desk of the dorm and told them the problem. They had the janitor manually shut off our furnace for us. I was so relieved that the furnace was off and my room was at a comfortable temperature again. I felt the cool air of the air conditioner hitting my face and laid back in my bed perfectly content. Unfortunately, the wonderful air conditioner only lasted a couple of hours before the furnace kicked on on its own and started to heat up our room again. I rolled my eyes and sighed. I called the front desk and told them my room furnace turned on on its own again. They called an HVAC technician to come fix my furnace for me so I wouldn’t have to deal with the heat anymore. The HVAC technician was not able to come till the next day, so I had to sleep that night in a friend’s room because the furnace heated my room so much. The HVAC technician came the next day and fixed the furnace for me. From that day on I became incredibly thankful for the air conditioner.

Our dormitory air conditioner was not working right. We had only been back to college for two weeks when we noticed it was super cold in the dorm. I went to the thermostat and changed the temperature, but the air conditioner would not turn off. We told the janitor about the air conditioner, and he took a look at the air conditioner and tried to fix it. He said that it was once again working like usual. I was excited to finally come home to a comfortable temperature, but when I entered the dorm, it was freezing. I checked the thermostat and it said that the air conditioner was off, but clearly it was on and running. I decided to go to the dean of students and file a complaint about the air conditioner in our dorm. The dean scheduled for an HVAC technician to come and fix the air conditioner for us. Unfortunately, the janitor somehow heard that an HVAC technician was supposed to come and he decided he could do a better job than the HVAC technician. The janitor went outside to the central air conditioner unit and took it apart. He cleaned the air ducts and messed with some of the parts, but he only made the air conditioner worse. The next day when the HVAC technician came, he said that our air conditioner was one of the worst cooling units he had ever worked on. The air ducts were messed up, and the wiring was done incorrectly. We found out later that the janitor had really messed up the air conditioner and our thermostat in an attempt to fix it. My father taught me everything I know about heating and cooling units.
When I was young, I always had dreams of entering bizarre work fields, but as I grew up, I realized that I really enjoyed working on HVAC units.
I first realized this when I was at home and our furnace stopped working. Our whole house was cold, and my dad was at work and couldn’t come fit the HVAC unit for us. I decided to go down in the basement and try to fix the furnace myself. I looked at the furnace and started to tamper with a few different parts, hoping to find the problem. I finally found out what was wrong with the furnace and was able to fix it on my own. My dad was so proud that I was able to fix the HVAC unit on my own. From that day on I decided I wanted to work on air conditioners and furnaces for a living. I went to school and earned my HVAC degree, then I got hired at a large HVAC company where I always have either an air conditioner, furnace, boiler, or thermostat to work on. It is great being an HVAC technician, but all the thanks goes to my dad. My dad is the one who first taught me about HVAC and helped me decide that being an HVAC technician was what I wanted to do with my life. I’ve had the privilege of working on several different air conditioners and furnaces with my dad, and I will admit that I have learned more from him in a few months than I did in all my years in college learning about HVAC.

I was a little scared, but with a little help, I was able to fix the air conditioner on my own! As I grew up, I decided to go to college and get a degree in HVAC. After working as an HVAC technician for several years, I finally decided to start my own HVAC company. Since I didn’t go to school for business, I had some difficulty starting the company, but since I know HVAC so well, Ive been able to grow my company. When I was younger, at times, I legitimately enjoyed the heat.
I grew up in a tropical weather conditions plus raised my children there, however every weekend, I took my children to the beach or the local lake to swim or to the park or elementary school playground to play.
My associate and I would make a afternoon of it. I’d pack up some towels, drinks, dinner, popcorn, plus sunscreen, turn the temperature control on my cooling system down about four degrees, plus off my buddy and I would go. The children always had a good time, plus got plenty of fresh air plus exercise. Two of the parks in my hometown had water spouts that helped to keep the children cool, plus these are the parks my buddy and I chose on the hottest mornings, because, cooling off is extremely important in a tropical environment. After a long afternoon of fun in the sun, my buddy and I would return dwelling to an air conditioned house, grateful for the cool air. This is one immense reason I would turn the temperature control down an extra four degrees before leaving, so that my buddy and I could cool off abruptly when my buddy and I returned home. After baths plus showers plus a nice dinner, my buddy and I would stand around soaking up the air conditioner until bedtime. After the heat of the afternoon, my buddy and I would sleep so well in the cool air conditioner, often bundled up in blankets. Of course, I would turn the temperature control back up to seventy-six degrees, where I usually kept it throughout the week to conserve energy, but, that one weekend afternoon plus night, my buddy and I would splurge, because genuinely freezing air is a real treat after an extremely hot plus humid afternoon in the sun.

Summer in the South can be unbearably hot plus humid, at least for some people, but, my buddy and I appreciate the heat, as long as my buddy and I have cool air conditioner to return to! Our summers are spent swimming in lakes, at the beach, a friends pool, or in the local swimming hole.
My associate and I also appreciate caneoing the river, fishing the streams, hiking the trails, barbecuing with friends plus family, playing frisbee in the park, playing activitys plus all sorts of Summer fun that makes us hot, hot, plus often sunburned.
My associate and I don’t have a problem with the heat, as long as my buddy and I know that when the fun is over, my buddy and I can go dwelling to a fine shower plus a cool air conditioned house. My associate and I usually keep the temperature control set on seventy-six degrees plus keep our ceiling fans on high, but, my buddy and I will usually turn the temperature control down to seventy before a afternoon of fun in the sun, so that my buddy and I know it will be nice plus cool when my buddy and I get home. My associate and I make sure my buddy and I have our HVAC component maintained officially to keep us comfortable. My associate and I learned a strenuous lesson when, while in our third year of not having it maintained, the HVAC got sick. My associate and I are grateful a certified worker was able to fix it before it died. I will never neglect my air conditioner component again plus am so grateful that my buddy and I have such a healthy, energy efficient unit.

We use little safety space furnaces while in the winter, and they really aren’t undoubtedly effective when the hot and cold temperatures go down to the thirties and twenties. There are too numerous freezing spots in the house. When my associate and I finally buy a house here, I am absolutely choosing a condo with an Heating in addition to Air Conditioning machine already installed, or I will have a ductless mini-split air conditioner and heating system installed! Last year, I finally decided to upgrade our space furnaces to a nice giant one that looks like a fireplace. I love it. It’s portable, but, my associate and I keep it in the residing room. It does a pretty relaxing job of heating up the residing areas and the living rooms while in the afternoon, when the living room doors are open. But, unblessedly, my associate and I still need to use the little ineffective space furnaces at night. I think, until my associate and I find a condo to buy, I will invest in a heating blanket, because I really do not like the freezing at all.
