Alternative housing arrives with ductless heat pumps

Sometimes invention truly comes from necessity.

  • And I was prepared to take on the responsibilities that came with being a homeowner.

I’m enjoying my home’s high-quality heating and air right now thanks to a current trend and my family’s support. Although there isn’t any empty space in this house, it is all mine. My house is frequently described as a tiny house. It’s true that my home is small in comparison to a palatial, obscenely large, cookie-cutter home. However, I liken it more to residing on a boat with excellent design. Simply because space is so valuable and needs to be used effectively, there is much to that comparison. To be honest, though, it really is pretty awesome. In addition to a fantastic galley kitchen and a comfortable living room with a bay window, my house has excellent heating and cooling. I also had the money for it. Finding a spot to put up my tiny home was the tricky part. It’s a blessing that my aunt was ready to sell a small portion of her stunning property—about 5 acres—for a price that was affordable for the whole family. That was crucial in enabling us to give up apartment life’s insufficient HVAC and lack of privacy. Bringing up excellent heating and air quality. It’s amazing how well my ductless heat pump works. To have such potent HVAC machinery in such a small space is simply amazing. For use while I’m in bed, I also adore having a remote thermostat. Also, thanks to this incredibly efficient heating and cooling equipment, heating and cooling costs have been drastically reduced.

I think of Grandpa when I fix the air filter

I think of Grandpa whenever I fix the air filter in my house.

Back when I was growing up as a little boy, I used to help my grandpa fix things around the house all the time.

He was definitely a handy toned guy. He used to fix everything around the house and he liked teaching me how to do it, too. He always told me that a real man knew how to fix things and I believed him. I still think that he was right. These days, now that I have a house of my own, I am still really glad that my grandpa used to show me how to fix things. I am one of the only guys I know who knows how to fix things like the plumbing problems and electrical problems that I run into at my house on a regular basis. I also know how to fix the heating and cooling system because my grandpa used to bring me along whenever he was working on an HVAC system anywhere. He used to work on the one at our house and the ones of all of my aunts’ and uncles’ homes, too. I used to have a really good time going out with him and carrying his toolbox for him and handing him tools. Now, all of that training from when I was little is very helpful because I know how to fix most of the problems that I have with the HVAC system at my own house. Whenever I check the air filter in my house or do anything that has to do with the thermostat, furnace, or air conditioner, I always think of my grandpa.

Inflation means I don’t have HVAC repair money right now

The poor economy and inflation that is happening right now means that I don’t really have any money at this point to get my HVAC system repaired.

This is not a good thing, that’s for sure. I mean, it’s never really a good thing when you are basically out of money, but this is different. It’s still the middle of the winter around here and I just don’t have the money in my home repair account to get anything fixed at all right now. I am not happy about this in the least. It would be different if the weather was already heating up outside, but that is not the case. It’s still cold and the weather is still snowy and icy most of the time. It probably won’t actually start heating up until the middle of April, and there is just no way that I am going to be able to go without a heating system for that long! I need to get it fixed, but I am just out of luck when it comes to the money situation right now. I think that my best bet is probably to just use the little electric space heater that I have out in the garage for emergencies. I mean, I’m not freezing to death yet, but it’s starting to become somewhat of an emergency. I haven’t been able to use the furnace in a couple of days now, and it has definitely not been very comfortable around here, that’s for sure. Maybe if I put the little electrical space heater in the bedroom overnight, it will knock the chill off the air!

ductwork

I need to clean out my condensate line

That way any crud or debris can fall down the skinny PVC pipe and into the vacuum once it finally gets outside

I have a lot of cleaning and maintenance to do around my house. It started with cleaning off the debris and rotted leaves on the roof of my house. I don’t legitimately love getting on ladders, especially when it means getting to the top of my roof. I’m also scared of heights and generally worry about what’s going to happen to me if I ever happen to lose my footing and fall; I was relieved when I was finally finished with the roof work, but after that I was forced to clean the drain lines for my numerous lavatory sinks. These sinks are used numerous times a day and haven’t been cleaned and snaked since I moved into this location numerous and a half years ago. You have to disattach the p-trap or u-pipe underneath the sink so you can force a handheld snake through the pipe to clean out the built up soap scum and slime. It’s a disgusting chore, but it needs to be done on a correct basis. Similarly, the condensate line for my central Heating and Air Conditioning idea also needs to be cleaned so that there aren’t any clogs forcing water back into the a/c. All you need to do is run bleach through the condensate line while leaving the nozzle of a vacuum attached to the exit port for the condensate line outside. That way any crud or debris can fall down the skinny PVC pipe and into the vacuum once it finally gets outside. Make sure you or your Heating and Air Conditioning corporation cleans your condensate line at least once a year because it’s severely pressing. I don’t mind doing the chore now that I have done it successfully a handful of times.

I need to disinfect out my condensate line

I have a lot of cleaning & service to do around my house.

It started with cleaning off the debris & rotted leaves on the roof of my house.

I don’t really care about getting on ladders, especially when it means getting to the top of my roof. I’m also scared of heights & generally worry about what’s going to happen to myself and others if I ever happen to lose my footing & fall, then i was relieved when I was finally finished with the roof work, but then I was forced to disinfect the drain lines for my two bathroom sinks. These sinks are used many times a morning & haven’t been cleaned & snaked since I moved into this arena two & a half years ago. You have to remove the p-trap or u-pipe underneath the sink so you can force a handheld snake through the pipe to disinfect out the built up soap scum & slime. It’s a disgusting chore, but it needs to be done on a correct basis. Similarly, the condensate line for my central Heating & Air Conditioning plan also needs to be cleaned so that there aren’t any clogs forcing water back into the cooling system. All you need to do is run bleach through the condensate line while leaving the nozzle of a vacuum attached to the exit port for the condensate line outside. That way any crud or debris can fall down the skinny PVC pipe & into the vacuum once it finally gets outside. Make sure you or your Heating & Air Conditioning specialist cleans your condensate line at least once a year because it’s severely important. I don’t mind doing the chore now that I have done it successfully a handful of times.

Ventilation job is for him

Adding bathroom ventilation was a must do in my space, and i have a crucial bathroom plus the shower head is sizable in there, and the heat from the shower creates a lot of steam.

I hated that my mirror was always fogged over.

I would get condensation all along the walls that I would have to mop up. I was constantly fighting mold in the shower plus the corners of the bathroom. I instantly went online plus looked up ventilation helpers. I found that you can spend somewhere from 10 to numerous hundreds of dollars on bathroom ventilation. I sprung for a good system. I have a bathroom ventilation program with an LED light that turns on when you walk in the shower. It automatically detachs the heated air from the indoor air conditions to cool the space down. It is said to lower the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C bills if you have good bathroom ventilation. I assumed that a Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C contractor would do the upgrade. I mean it stands for heating, ventilation plus air conditioner; Well after I had the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C guy in there he told myself and others he installs ventilators, air duct plus indoor air conditions equipment. Bathroom ventilation was absolutely an electrical job that my local electrician did. It was unusual calling a different professional in. I felt a Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C worker should drill holes into the side of my house to pump air outside… However the electrician did a good job, then my space is cooler, less muggy plus I do love how it feels after a shower. I don’t wash up half as much mold anymore.

Making sure our air is healthy as well

I do everything I can to be healthy.

I want to live a long, fruitful life.

That is why I tackle all areas of feeling food. I work out multiple days a week. I make sure to stretch before & after. I do a variety of cardio & weight training. I maintain an ideal weight & have the strength to do unusual tasks around the house. I also eat super healthy. I don’t eat meat but I do eat fish, fruits, veggies & all sorts of nuts. I make sure to get our essential vitamins into our diet. I take entirely wonderful care of our skin with quality, natural products. I clean our sheets properly, invest in wonderful quality clothing & I eliminate stress in our life, however another thing I do is tackle our indoor air quality. Most people spend 90% of their day indoors, did you believe your indoor air quality is significantly more polluted than the outdoor air? I was shocked. I thought with pollution, trash, automobile exhaust & natural odors it would be worse outside. In fact your apartment Heating, Ventilation, & A/C method keeps all the exhausting pollutants circling around over & over again. It is substantial to air out your apartment every now & then. It is a wonderful method to do respected Heating, Ventilation, & A/C cleanings so you aren’t breathing in the dirt, dust & hair inside the system. It is also smart to invest in an air purification idea that further cleans the air & removes dust from it. I do respected air filter swings on our air cleaner & the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C system. I recognize the air I breathe in is better than everyone.

Physics and HVAC

It’s a simple fact of physics that warm air rises and cool air sinks.

  • Heating and air conditioning systems take this into account.

For example, ductless mini-split air conditioning systems should be placed high up on the wall in an area of the house where the unit will not be blocked by furniture to allow for unobstructed air flow. Also, it helps to install the outdoor components of an air conditioning system on either the north or south wall of your home to shield it from the sun. Even having a nearby tree to offer shade can be helpful, although you don’t necessarily want to have debris falling from the tree onto the condenser unit. You generally also want to keep the condenser unit unobstructed by anything in the yard. Keeping physics in mind, one of the most efficient means of heating a home comes in the form of radiant heated floors. Radiant heated floors consist of tubes under the flooring of your home that are heated either by electricity or hot water. Because the heat source is below the floorboards it will naturally emanate upwards, thereby efficiently heating your home as opposed to a forced air HVAC system with vents on the ceiling. Unless you’re 8 ft tall you generally won’t appreciate the heat hanging up there so it’s best to use radiant heated floors, although they can be quite expensive. In summary, the fact that warm air rises and cool air descends is taken into account when it comes to the design of certain heating and air conditionings systems.

“Warm” childhood memories

I stayed in the kitchen just as much for the sake of the warmth it provided as for the wonderful aromas and my natural curiosity for how Mom cooked and baked

I remember my childhood home fondly. It may have been somewhat small, but to me, it was a lot bigger when I was a kid. One thing about it is that the walls were thin so it didn’t have very good insulation. This didn’t bother me so much as a kid, mostly because I didn’t necessarily think about it all that often. However, I do remember that there were various ways to keep cozy, especially in the winter. Mom would often get us very thick and fuzzy slippers and socks for example. We would also get very nice and warm robes. Furthermore, she would buy us thick blankets so that we always manage to be comfortable despite the sparse insulation and heating in our home. I distinctly remember that on very cold winter days, I would often stay in the vicinity of the kitchen because Mom would often be baking or cooking. I stayed in the kitchen just as much for the sake of the warmth it provided as for the wonderful aromas and my natural curiosity for how Mom cooked and baked. She shared many secrets and recipes with me when I was a kid, that I still use to this day. Perhaps it wasn’t easy having poor insulation in our home and a heating system that wasn’t all that efficient, but it led to us receiving heartfelt gifts from our parents to keep us warm and a chance to bond in the kitchen! Don’t get me wrong, I am glad that my home has great insulation and heating today!

The Heating, Ventilation plus A/C convention got pretty wild

I made it to 1 of the day sessions about solar powered space heaters, however then I got violently ill plus had to leave early

I went to the convention for my job, plus I must admit that I got a little crazy. I have been in the company for over 8 years now, however this was the 1st time I had ever gone to the national convention plus annual trade show. I went with the unquestionably best of intentions, although I had no clue how much fun this place could be. Not to mention that everyone else there was intent on drinking, smoking, and partying, I just got swept up in the action! I doubt my bosses will allow me to attend another trade show or industry convention again so long as I work for them. Before this convention I didn’t know Heating, Ventilation plus A/C techs could get that nuts! Like other conventions, the days were filled with meetings, presentations, plus discussions about new innovations in Heating, Ventilation plus A/C technology plus equipment. I saw 1 really interesting lecture on a current brand of dehumidifier that worked 79% more efficiently than any other existing models. It was after the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C convention closed down for the night when the real parties started to happen. It seemed as if every Heating, Ventilation plus A/C expert there was hosting a small gathering in their hotel room. I went from room to room having liquor drinks plus meeting people plus having a generally amazing time. The next morning it was time for more heating plus cooling demonstrations, although I was far too hungover to attend. I made it to 1 of the day sessions about solar powered space heaters, however then I got violently ill plus had to leave early. After my behavior, the bosses at my Heating, Ventilation plus A/C team are not content with me.
