For the past several months I’ve been applying to jobs left and right.
I don’t have enough job security in my current position, and I am looking for a better paycheck.
I’ve been perusing the papers and all of the online job postings for a modern opportunity. I have to say, the Outlook has been pretty bleak. Was extremely happy when I finally got a call back for a promising modern SEO job. The supplier stated that they were in a time of rapid growth and we’re expanding their SEO team to fill their brand modern office building. I was happy about all of this. Mostly, I was stoked at the chance to toil in a modern and therefore clean building. What I didn’t expect was that’s their quote modern building was in an extremely old historic building. The building had all original fixtures, including the HVAC system. This central heating and cooling system had to be at least 35 years old. The boiler down in the basement looks like it had seen a few turns of the century. The air ducts where sagging so low that you had to shimmy beneath them. The control component was so seasoned that it broke in my hand when I tried to adjust the a/c. Whenever the A/C finally engage, you could genuinely tell that it was working because a plume of dust came shooting into the room, however unless they’re planning on updating the air quality component in this office space, I don’t feel that I can toil here. I am desperate for a modern job, but I am not desperate for a modern respiratory disease.
