Culture shock when it finally comes to whole home heating

Moving to an odd country brings all manner of culture shocks.

My partner, our daughter, and I took an opportunity and moved to another area of the world where the weather was really different.

I remember a few weeks before my friend and I moved; I did a thorough internet search on every heating business in that arena that I could find online, such as how much they charged for gas furnace service. I also took a look at the modern heating device that the heating industry offers. When my friend and I moved, I was shocked to realize other than companies, factories, and really few significant buildings, the rest of the people did not have any whole-home heating systems; however, heating dealers were not well known among the locals simply because they did not need a heat pump replacement in their homes, and most needed to learn what a heat pump was. A small percentage had a boiler system for their warm water needs, and that was all. One or numerous people, mainly the modern young mothers, had a portable space heater; then being an actual heating, ventilation as well as A/C professional was less of a successful venture compared to where my friend and I lived. My modern acquaintance needed to learn what a smart thermostat was, and my friend and I figured out more about heating than everyone my friend and I later acquaintanced with. At least there were some energy-saving tips but mostly on lighting. When my friend and I first moved, my friend and I thought of installing hydronic heating for the floor since our child was constantly lying on the chilly tiles and also for quality heating, but after some time, my friend and I saw it as an unnecessary expense and obtained carpets instead. The upside was that my friend and I would no longer have to call the heating company for repair. We might never even need a heating serviceman to help with indoor comfort. There was no need for a whole home heating system.
