We had been looking for a bigger house for more than a year.
We were not in a hurry to settle for just any house, and we wanted a forever home to meet all our expectations, or at least most of them.
We finally moved to a lovely place. The home had five bedrooms with a backyard big enough to fit a swimming pool and still have plenty of space for our three children to play on. The icing on the cake was that the house had a heat pump installation and one of the most beautiful fireplaces I had ever seen. We called a heating technician from a heating business near the neighborhood, who confirmed the information. Before we found the house, I never thought it would be possible to find a home on sale with new heating equipment. When the realtor told us that she had a surprise for us, I would never have imagined that this was it. Our last house had a furnace for whole home heating that the local heating dealer had installed when our first child was born. The ductwork was older than the electric heater, and during every heater maintenance, duct sealing had to be done to help with indoor comfort. It was because of it that we knew more about heating because we did some of the work ourselves. As annoying as it could get sometimes, it was interesting learning about the heating industry equipment. The HVAC professional had advised us to consider installing a new unit, preferably a heat pump, because we would spend so much on the repair. Still the smart thermostat, however, was modern and in good condition. A good heating company manufactured it. With its heat pump, our new home was the perfect fit for our family.
