My dwelling was easily built with a farmdwelling theme in mind. The wallpaper was orange and pale white striped. The curtains had chickens on them, however everything was all wooded and there was brown everywhere, what I kept was the wood ceiling, everything else went. Well now that the water has hit it, the wood has warped and looks terrible. I am distraught about the TV… My hubby freaks out anytime it rains because of her playstation. The right move would be to call for a roofing repair. How much would a roof service cost though? My pal and I both feel it must be a lot. My pal and I just did a lot of remodeling too… So my hubby has done liquid granite to the roof hoping it fixes it. So far it hasn’t. She has been up and down on the roof consistently, however my fantastic friend and I haven’t seen it be fixed yet.

I have a lot of cleaning and maintenance to do around my house. It started with cleaning off the debris and rotted leaves on the roof of my house. I don’t really like getting on ladders, especially when it means getting to the top of my roof. I’m also scared of heights and generally worry about what’s going to happen to me if I ever happen to lose my footing and fall. I was relieved when I was finally finished with the roof work, but then I was forced to clean the drain lines for my two bathroom sinks. These sinks are used several times a day and haven’t been cleaned and snaked since I moved into this place two and a half years ago. You have to remove the p-trap or u-pipe underneath the sink so you can force a handheld snake through the pipe to clean out the built up soap scum and slime. It’s a disgusting chore, but it needs to be done on a regular basis. Similarly, the condensate line for my central HVAC system also needs to be cleaned so that there aren’t any clogs forcing water back into the air conditioner. All you need to do is run bleach through the condensate line while leaving the nozzle of a vacuum attached to the exit port for the condensate line outside. That way any crud or debris can fall down the skinny PVC pipe and into the vacuum once it finally gets outside. Make sure you or your HVAC technician cleans your condensate line at least once a year because it’s extremely important. I don’t mind doing the chore now that I have done it successfully a handful of times.

Ever since my wife said she was leaving me, I have been stuck in a rut between my work life and home life.
I was spending far too many hours at the office and I knew it.
My wife and I tried using counseling right away, but to no avail. We both realized that there were things about each other that we didn’t know before actually getting married. I’m an active person who is looking for excitement and all she wants to do all day is relax whenever she’s not busy at work. We started to clash and that’s how the acrimony started to build. While I’m glad that some kind of progress has been made, I can’t say that I’m content within my own mind. On the contrary, I’ve been really upset and at a loss for words with everyone around me. I’m forgetting about basic chores and home maintenance. I left my a/c filter in my air conditioner for two months straight during the dustiest and most-allergen-filled season of the year. When I finally checked my HVAC filter, I saw how incredibly clogged it had become. This is a bad mistake because it overworks your system as it tries to reach the temperatures you set on the thermostat, and that can lead to the coil freezing or the fan motor getting worn out. I decided to call my HVAC technician to have him inspect the system to make sure there aren’t repairs that need to be made. Now I have a stack of fresh filters in my closet that I purchased in bulk off the internet. I’m hoping this will help me resist forgetting about the filter replacements when they need to happen.

I make sure to get my essential vitamins into my diet. I take really good care of my skin with quality, natural products. I wash my sheets regularly, invest in good quality clothing and I eliminate stress in my life. Another thing I do is tackle my indoor air quality. Most people spend 90% of their day indoors. Did you know your indoor air quality is significantly more polluted than the outdoor air? I was shocked. I thought with pollution, trash, car exhaust and natural odors it would be worse outside. In fact your home HVAC system keeps all the bad pollutants circling around over and over again. It is important to air out your house every now and then. It is a good idea to do regular HVAC cleanings so you aren’t breathing in the dirt, dust and hair inside the system. It is also smart to invest in an air purification plan that further cleans the air and removes dust from it. I do regular air filter changes on my air cleaner and the HVAC system. I feel the air I breathe in is better than most people.

Adding bathroom ventilation was a must do in my space.
I have a giant bathroom and the shower head is massive in there.
The heat from the shower creates a lot of steam. I hated that my mirror was always fogged over. I would get condensation all along the walls that I would have to mop up. I was constantly fighting mold in the shower and the corners of the bathroom. I immediately went online and looked up ventilation helpers. I found that you can spend anywhere from 10 to multiple hundreds of dollars on bathroom ventilation. I sprung for a good system. I have a bathroom ventilation system with an LED light that turns on when you walk in the shower. It automatically removes the heated air from the indoor air quality to cool the space down. It is said to lower the HVAC bills if you have good bathroom ventilation. I assumed that a HVAC technician would do the installation. I mean it stands for heating, ventilation and air conditioning. Well after I had the HVAC guy in there he told me he installs ventilators, ductwork and indoor air quality equipment. Bathroom ventilation was actually an electrical job that my local electrician did. It was weird calling a different professional in. I felt a HVAC worker should drill holes into the side of my house to pump air outside. However the electrician did a good job. My space is cooler, less muggy and I do like how it feels after a shower. I don’t clean up half as much mold anymore.

I feel that most people only have to clean out their filters every four months, however I have to change my filter every month because of how dirty it is here.
I started using those HEPA filters because I have noticed that it has improved the air quality significantly. Ever since I saw our air quality improve, I have wanted to continue to have a better lifestyle by continuing to use these kinds of HEPA filters. I can’t believe I used old disposable air filters for so long when a HEPA is apparently the superior choice. There was only one problem, right when I really needed the filters, the AC dealer was out of them. I have become used to buying them every other month, and I should have bought three of them because I was making a mistake only buying one at a time when I needed them. Well something great happened, those HEPA filters went on sale! The issue was that because they went on sale, everybody was running to get some and there were people fighting over these filters. Sadly for me, I was one of the last people to make it to the heating and cooling corp, and so I was unable to get my hands on one of those, however I still really need a HEPA filter. I was going to look elsewhere to see if I could try to find one. And after searching five more heating and a/c dealerships, I finally found one!

So I did something dumb, I did something my lady told me that I shouldn’t do and I got pretty badly hurt because I didn’t listen to her.
What a bad thing I did, I went and I tried to repair our own air conditioning unit.
I know, I feel it’s a really dumb idea and I should not have attempted it. When it comes to heating and cooling, apparently it should be left to the pros. However, I didn’t want to wait to have a heater and air con lady come out here for more than one reason; It is costly to have a heating, ventilation and air con unit repaired, and the second reason that I didn’t want to have a heating and cooling expert to come out here was because the heating, ventilation and air con businesses were all booked up and I knew it would be at least six weeks before I’d be able to get someone out here. So I decided it would be best for me to go and try to fix it myself. I told my lady about my idea, and she didn’t want me to do it, however I was confident in my abilities to do it. I had no heating or a/c training whatsoever, and I didn’t bother to read or do research like I was supposed to, and in my mind it was the correct idea. Really, I was lucky that I didn’t totally damage our Heating, Ventilation, and a/c plan by attempting this. Although I did manage to get hurt, it was enough to tell me that I had no clue at all what I was doing. I think I’ll just go ahead and call the experts and wait for them to do it right.
