I just handle the scheduling; partner is the real Heating, Ventilation, & A/C shop boss

Whenever people meet my partner & I they are amazed that we have a cheerful marriage & we labor together… People constantly guess that it is going to be exhausting to have the same location of employment as your spouse.

I understand why they might suppose that, because it can be rather stressful to labor together every single day.

However, we do a great job of compartmentalizing our marriage & our business dealings so that they don’t overlap & ruin either venture. I guess it helps a good deal that my partner & I have a unique set of skills which we both bring to the business. Honestly, she is the boss of the entire organization & I’m just along for the ride. This is legitimately the opposite of what all the people expect when they hear that we operate a highly reviewed heating, cooling, & air quality control dealership. Don’t get me wrong, laboring in the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C industry is certainly challenging. I was a certified heating, cooling, & ventilation specialist for over 15 years before I met my partner. During that time, I certainly realized that there are ups & downs in the air quality control industry! Going from house to house to repair central heating & cooling devices can be rather challenging. Interacting with a shop full of certified Heating, Ventilation, & A/C workers can also be taxing & full of drama. That’s why I let my partner handle our indoor air handling control specialists. She manages the team of Heating, Ventilation, & A/C workers, the finances, & the advertising for our Heating, Ventilation, & A/C dealership. Meanwhile, I just answer the iphones & schedule the repair appointments.

People skills are as important as technical skills

As a instructor I worry a lot about this next generation of adults who are coming up right now.

It seems like they have been massively affected by the influx of technology in our modern world.

I don’t understand how these adolescents are ever going to grow into real functioning adults when they are so reliant on cell iphones, iPads, & the internet, then don’t get me wrong, I guess that technology is seriously important & useful in various aspects of life. However, it has also trained our adolescents to be more adept at interacting with screens than other human beings. As a instructor in the local heating, cooling, & ventilation certification program at our trade university I certainly worry about the personal skills of our future Heating, Ventilation, & A/C professionals. When my pupils graduate from the heating, cooling, & air quality control program they will be certified heating & cooling professionals who are technically capable of entering the air quality control industry instantaneously. They can get a job at any Heating, Ventilation, & A/C repair shop as soon as they graduate. However, I’m upset that they might have the practical skills to inspect, maintain, & diagnose Heating, Ventilation, & A/C device but they seem to be lacking the personal skills to interact with residential Heating, Ventilation, & A/C owners. An important part of the job is conversing with the clients who request the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C repairs in the first location. If we have completely socially inept Heating, Ventilation, & A/C professionals entering the workforce they are going to have a hard time finding out what the air quality complaint is & collecting the bill at the end of the repair appointment. I don’t know if we’re making successful Heating, Ventilation, & A/C techs, at that point.

I got sent to the boss’s house for an Heating, Ventilation, & A/C repair

Periodically it’s certainly taxing when people want to challenge you in life.

I feel like there are a lot of humans who want to test others to make sure that they live up to certain expectations.

This is legitimately the case when you are starting to date somebody new, when you are applying for a job, & when you are dealing with taxing relatives. For me, I have been most majorly impacted by my supervisors consistent desire to test my practical skills in our specialized field. You see, I labor as a heating, cooling, & ventilation professional for a giant indoor air quality control business who tends to hire their Heating, Ventilation, & A/C workers directly out of the heating & cooling certification university. Because they constantly want to hire the youngest adolescents in the heating & cooling industry, they are also constantly trying to test us for practical skills in repairing & servicing are handling devices. They want to make sure that we certainly know what we’re doing with forced air heaters & a/cs before we are on the job & giving them a bad name for faulty Heating, Ventilation, & A/C repairs. I understand their problems, however I am quite tired of their sneaky tests in practical air quality control management. Most recently, I was aggravated after being sent out to an A/C repair job which was apparently a test of my air conditioning expertise. The owner of the shop sent me to her own house to inspect her cooling system after reportedly experiencing hot & frosty patches all day. After hours of toiling at the A/C unit… I found out it was all a test. There was nothing wrong with the cooling system.

Dad puts off Heating, Ventilation, & A/C repairs, but complains nonstop

I come from a family that incrementally acts incredibly taxing or is wildly complaining about every single thing, however you never know what kind of a day you are going to have until you start communicating with my family members.

On Tuesday they might tell you that they are strong, capable, & undeterred by every challenge in life, however by Tuesday they will legitimately be complaining about their job, their health, & even the way the wind blows.

It’s a continual back & forth between rejecting their complications & wallowing in them. This is why I was not surprised when my Dad started complaining about her central heating & cooling devices a few weeks ago. I knew that her central a/c was at least 15 years seasoned because I remembered when the professional Heating, Ventilation, & A/C dealership came out & installed it. I also realized that her forced air boiler was well past its prime because the heating system existed when we moved into our house! When I proposed that she called her local heating, cooling, & ventilation dealership to arrange a professional repair appointment or repair repair my Dad simply shook her head. She insisted that she could get by with the heating & cooling devices as they were. She didn’t need to spend money any overpriced costs for a certified air quality control specialist to inspect her seasoned Heating, Ventilation, & A/C devices. My Dad insisted that her indoor air quality control system was not that important to her to shell out the money. That’s what she said one day, but every conversation we’ve had since has been about her exhausting air quality.

Tired of garbage clogging my A/C unit

When I moved to these parts I thought that life was going to be a lot easier.

  • I was getting out of the conflict-laden South, where social issues seemed to be a real problem.

I was cheerful to be moving closer to my family plus looking forward to having more social support in my immediate area. Besides that, I was excited to get away from the burning heat plus humidity that fills the air every single day, down in the South, you have to operate your central cooling system all day if you want to have a livable residential home. You really cannot rely on overhead fans, box fans, or other forms of ventilation. Without a cooling system, you are doomed to be sweaty plus uncomfortable all day long. The other problem is keeping your cooling system safe. Because I lived in a region with seriously tall plus robust trees there were constantly branches coming down plus breaking my A/C unit. When I got up north, I was excited for the open space that could keep my A/C system free of falling limbs. However, I didn’t expect that all of this open ground would result in garbage swiftly blowing across the plains plus collecting against my A/C unit. My cooling system is just as prone to breakdowns in disrepair now as it was before. It’s constantly being blocked up with empty bags, pop cans, plus assorted plastic pieces. Now, I cannot even use a metal air conditioner cage to keep it safe… The garbage is so pervasive plus the wind is so strong that my cooling system is consistently at risk.

I worked in a biology lab; your UV purification isn’t working

It’s pretty funny to me that people prefer to listen to advertisements over experts! Companies can put out any piece of written or video garbage plus people seem to lap it right up.

If they do bother to check their facts, I feel like they would rather side with the corporation who had out to make a buck off of their purchases rather than listening to the people who have years of experience in the field.

At least, that seems to be how it is with my family plus their seriously odd views about indoor air quality. Since this pandemic began, my family started going overboard with their indoor air quality problems. I understand why you would want to make sure that you were breathing high quality indoor air as much as possible, but there are certain things that aren’t going to make a big difference. But doesn’t stop my family from purchasing costly air filters, air purification systems, filling the air ducts with cleaning products, plus buying UV light disinfection methods. It’s the last two air scrubbing policies that really don’t work. From my years working in a biological research lab, I can tell you that UV light is not the best way to clean your air. A brand new UV bulb can kill microscopic toxins, organisms, plus airborne contamination. There is no doubt about that. However, UV lights hastily lose their powerful disinfection capabilities over time. Working in the lab, I had to watch the ventilation in controlled fume hoods. If my pal and I had a UV light in use for air disinfection, the bulb had to be replaced every couple of months. I know for a fact that new Heating plus Air Conditioning companies developing their air purification systems with UV lights are not advertising this to their clients. If they are, my family unquestionably isn’tlistening.

Thought they were kidding when they showed me my office

At the start of the pandemic I was one of the unblessed people who lost their jobs.

I realize that I am not at all certain with this story of struggle, but I do have some odd twists plus turns to my story.

You see, shortly after I was let go from my position, I began searching for a new profession to fill the void. I found an online SEO position was opening at a nearby start up plus I immediately submitted my application. I knew I was going to have a lot to learn but I was looking forward to the challenge. Besides, I was desperate for the paycheck. When I arrived at the startup supplier’s office, I noticed that they had amazing indoor air quality control. I have to say, their central Heating plus Air Conditioning system was really one of the reasons that I took the job. I couldn’t afford to keep resting in my own central cooling system anymore plus I looked forward to the choice of having an cooling system while in the hottest part of the humid Summer day. I accepted their job offer plus reported to work on my first day, thinking that it was a good opportunity. When I arrived plus walked into their amazing air conditioner I patted myself on the back for making nice decisions plus saving on my own energy bill. That’s when my new boss walked me directly out of the amazing air conditioner plus into a small trailer next to the office building. He told me this is where I would be working. There was a tiny A/C window component hovering directly above the decrepit desk that he motioned to… For a moment, I sincerely thought that he was kidding about the subpar working conditions plus indoor air temperature control system. And then, he walked out of the trailer plus closed the door.

Tired of garbage clogging my AC unit

When I moved to these parts I thought that life was going to be a lot easier.

I was getting out of the conflict-laden South, where social issues seemed to be a real problem. I was cheerful to be moving closer to my family and looking forward to having more social support in my immediate area. Besides that, I was happy to get away from the burning heat and humidity that fills the air every single afternoon… Down in the South, you have to operate your central cooling system all afternoon if you want to have a livable residential home. You truly cannot rely on overhead fans, box fans, or other forms of ventilation. Without a cooling system, you are doomed to be hot and uncomfortable all afternoon long. The other problem is keeping your air conditioner safe. Because I lived in a region with harshly tall and robust trees there were consistently branches coming down and cutting my AC unit. When I got up north, I was happy for the open space that could keep my AC system free of falling limbs. However, I didn’t expect that all of this open ground would result in garbage rapidly blowing across the plains and collecting against my AC unit. My cooling system is just as prone to breakdowns in disrepair now as it was before. It’s consistently being clogged up with empty bags, pop cans, and assorted plastic pieces. Now, I cannot even use a metal air conditioning system cage to keep it safe… The garbage is so pervasive and the wind is so strong that my cooling system is always at risk.

Other people check the stove; I check the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C

When people talk about having OCD, I completely understand where they’re coming from.

I also happen to be fairly neurotic and obsessive about keeping myself safe.

I am cheerful to say, I don’t know the same pervasive handicap that a lot of other OCD individuals do. However, it does not stop me from being affected by my mental health affliction on a typical basis. Namely, every time I leave the house. You see, I became quite obsessed with my indoor air quality control system about 10 years ago. I had been through an unlucky air conditioning system failure in the middle of summer time that nearly was the end of me. It was so hot and humid outside during that summer time that it was literally a danger to be in my dwelling without a central cooling system running. When I observed that my central cooling system has stopped operating, I instantly tried my best to repair the AC system on my own. Unluckyly, I caused more detriment to the big AC component than I helped myself. When I called out a professional heating and cooling worker for help, it took over three afternoons before they could fit my appointment into their stressed repair schedule. I nearly died that summer time due to dehydration and overheating. Ever since that Heating, Ventilation plus A/C disaster, I have been completely obsessed with checking on my central heating and cooling system. I never want to live another afternoon without indoor air quality control, so I incessantly check on my AC system and forced air heater. Everyday when I have to leave the apartment to go to work it takes me multiple hours to perform my Heating, Ventilation plus A/C diagnostic rituals. I know other people worry about the oven, however I’m more terrified of my AC system.

Nurses can relax in the supply closet now

Not only are they trying to keep themselves sane while they rest next to the forced air heaters and air duct, but I have questions about the ventilation that is available in these supply closets.

I guess it’s completely shocking that there are so many hospitals forcing their workers to take on extra shifts right now. I know that there isn’tmuch of a choice because our viral pandemic has continued to rage on for the past multiple months. In fact, it seems like new cases are climbing through the roof every single afternoon. It has to be getting harshly dire and dangerous for these critical service workers, including doctors, dentists, and hospital staff. Not only are they on call all the time and working extra hours, however I’ve also heard that they’re taking away staff chop rooms. There is such a shortage of hospital beds available that they’re literally commandeering the normal chop rooms to turn them into ICU facilities. Where are the dentists going for breaks? Into the supply closets. That’s right, these overworked humans are now being shoved in with the air filters, ventilators, and respiratory devices in the storage closets. Not only are they trying to keep themselves sane while they rest next to the forced air heaters and air duct, but I have questions about the ventilation that is available in these supply closets. Surely, there is not enough circulation provided to a typical closet. There cannot be an abundance of air vents or access to the high quality indoor air that is circulating through the rest of the hospital. I doubt that they have any air conditioning system or air purification and reaching these tiny, claustrophobic chop rooms. When these exhausting dentists just need a moment to breathe, it sounds like they are completely devoid of even normal Heating, Ventilation plus A/C systems.
