After endless days of storm activity, tropical storms, and hurricane weather, my partner and I were done with the foul weather.
Our yard was a muddy mess and the patio furniture was soaking wet. We spent 11 out of those 20 days without any power. Several of those days we spent without internet comment telephone service, or a data connection. When we finally had some days in a row when the weather was clear and sunny, we phoned a licensed residential and commercial electrician to input a generator in our chalet. We know someone that works as a licensed residential and commercial repair electrician. He has been in the business since he was 19. The guy started out finally working as an apprentice and now he owns his own business. He is one of the best success stories that we can say we know personally. He has worked hard to build a business that came from nothing. We contacted him to see if he was in a position to help us out with the replacement of the generator. We talked about different types of generators and what we wanted out of the machine. The guy came over to the chalet to talk to my partner and I about the services he was offering. We spoke about where we would put the generator and how the unit would work. My partner and I were happy that we contacted him to provide us more information about the project. He didn’t talk to us like an electrician or a businessman and that made us more comfortable.
