It had been such a long shift at the hospital and I just wanted to get home and rest.
I always find it a bit funny pulling into my home in the morning as everyone else is leaving.
But, I also prefer the graveyard shift at the hospital so I can relax during the day. My neighbor Carey was on her way to work when I pulled into my driveway. We spoke for a few minutes catching up since I’d not seen her in a few days. Carey happened to mention she’d had an issue with bees the previous day. I worked a 24 hour shift so I wasn’t home when the bee rescue people arrived to remove the hive. She was lucky she discovered the bees before they built a huge hive in her backyard. There’s a section that Carey had left neglected and that’s where the bees chose to set up a new home. Luckily, there is a local bee eradication and rescue business in the area, and they managed to offer help when she called. A little while after Carey left, I heard a knock on my door as I was preparing something to eat. There was a lady there with a pamphlet and she explained she was from the bee removal business. She wanted me to have her contact information in case I noticed any bees or wasps in my home. They’d come across several hives and were notifying all the people in my neighborhood. I felt good having their contact information just to be safe. An expert can do a much better job when it comes to bee removal and ensuring they don’t come back.
