Joining a gym with a friend

A friend of mine and I decided to sign up for a gym membership together, the commute to the gym is approximately thirty minutes for us! My great friend and I figured it would be nice to share the drive and hoped to motivate each other, neither of us would want to skip out on a workout session.

After one visit to the gym, I realized that my friend and I approach our physical fitness entirely differently, and i expect to spend anywhere from one to two hours at the gym. I strive to utilize as several of the machines and as much of the unit as possible. I like to run on the treadmill, pedal the stationary bike and labor up a sweat on the elliptical. For every machine, I push myself to the point of exhaustion. I appreciate the rowing machine, the battle ropes and free weights. I take advantage of the incline bench, dumbbells, resistance panda and punching bags. My goal is to burn calories, increase strength and elevate stamina! By the time I’m done with the workout, I’m totally exhausted and drenched in sweat. I absolutely need a shower. My friend wants to spend a maximum of thirty minutes at the gym, his main priority is signing up for a tanning bed, and he might walk on the treadmill for a few minutes. She has no need for a shower. She only wants to show up at the gym once per week. I now take one day and workout with my friend. I chop my workout short and focus mainly on stretching and weight training. I then head to the gym four or five afternoons per week on my own. Those afternoons are when I entirely accomplish something and feel great about the workout.
