Smart thermostats are absolutely wonderful, I think most people would agree that a smart thermostat is better than having a dial thermostat.
However a smart thermostat, or any smart device for that matter is only as good as they are if they work.
So when you have a smart thermostat like I do that has stopped working it doesn’t really do you much good, I’m not entirely sure why it stopped working but I know that I was sleeping and getting a good night’s rest and I woke up to feeling hot and sweaty. I found this to be very unusual because I have the smart thermostat set to have my air conditioning running all throughout the night. I have a preferred night time temperature, and for the last 5 years my smart thermostat has always without fail run my perfect night time temperatures. So I woke up in the middle of the night feeling hot and sweaty. I need something wrong. The first thing I did was go over to the thermostat that I had mounted on the wall and take a look at it. I was really worried at first because when I tried to put any inputs on it and nothing responded or did anything. I thought there was something seriously wrong with my heating and air conditioning system and that gave me a good scare because I don’t have the money to afford an expensive repair. I reluctantly made a heating and air conditioning appointment, and thankfully when the HVAC worker came out here he told me it was my thermostat that was bad and not my heating and AC system. Now I just have to get a new thermostat.
