I knew by the time that I was in high school that I wanted to become a heating and air conditioning technician.
A lot of my other classmates had really big dreams and desires that I couldn’t relate to.
I just wanted a simple life where I wanted to do a simple job that was reliable but yet gave me enough freedom where I could move around and relocate if I needed to, and then one day hopefully meet a nice woman and get married. The annoying thing about having simple dreams or having a dream that isn’t particularly big or exciting is that I’ve experienced some people actually looking down at me for it. They think I’m settling for less, but the truth is I’m not selling for less, I just don’t have any huge grandiose desires. So many of my friends want to be famous, and they tell me all the time what they would do if they were, or they want some expensive life or a high position at a company. Now let me be very clear with what I’m saying, there’s nothing wrong with wanting any of those things. I think that if you have a dream to do any of those things you should go for it and give your best shot. But at the same time I think there’s also nothing wrong with wanting a simple life either. So in spite of some disapproval that I got from my classmates and parents, I continued to follow my dream and I successfully became a heating and air conditioning worker. I studied hard so I could get into HVAC school, and I was successful in getting into a college that taught heating and cooling. Now I just have to study really hard so I can get my HVAC certification and start working.
