I’m just so fortunate that I took the option when I did… Otherwise, I wouldn’t be enjoying this sort of winter, it’s Christmas even though I sat outside to watch the sunrise in shorts as well as a hoodie this morning.
Where I come from, I would have frozen to the spot unless I had a space furnace in front of me… But here, my friend and I just don’t need much heating from the heat pump, but still, this whole thing almost didn’t happen; when I first saw the job posting, I knew I was ready for this position.
I just didn’t have the confidence to make sure the bosses knew that I was ready. I’ve been laboring inside the zone controlled heating plus A/C of the northern office since I got out of school, that’s been about a full 12 years ago. In that time, I’ve l gained a lot, sharpened my skills as well as taken on new responsibilities. But I’ve never been 1 to play office politics in order to fast track my career. There’s just something about that sort of approach that never felt authentic or certainly ethical to me… However, I knew that this position was something I legitimately wanted as well as it came with a relocation to the south. I was absolutely ready to dump the oil or gas furnace in favor of a heat pump as well as superb winter season weather. Sure, I knew it was going to be hot as well as humid in the summer. But that’s why the heat pump is the reigning champ in the south. So these afternoons, I am getting all the morning light I ever wanted along with plenty of air conditioning when I need it.
