It should be a great thing, then however, our water is so bad that the rod cannot handle it. It gets totally plugged up, then what happens is then our water aromas like rotten eggs. I recognize that the rod needs to be unaffixd and wreck our water oil furnace warranty. Then our husband has to dump bleach down the drains to get rid of the aroma.
