My first role in the HVAC industry

After graduating from the HVAC training institute, I was fortunate enough to land a job with the most common HVAC brands in the country.

I worked as an HVAC repairman.

Before being allowed to work, the HVAC professionals at the HVAC business took us through thorough training, so we knew everything about the new HVAC equipment and the new HVAC technology in the market. We trained for three months and did menial jobs to help the HVAC providers. After three months, the company fully integrated us as its employees. Since I came out top in our class, I got the role of managing the rest of the team. I would receive the jobs from my supervisor and divide them among the groups under me. On the first day of work, I noticed that the HVAC maintenance jobs outnumbered the HVAC installation ones. I also would organize the transportation of the new quality HVAC systems to the various stores owned by the company. I had so much fun with my role, and it allowed me to play a part in providing quality help with indoor comfort to the customers, as that was my drive. I also offered assistance to my team in any way I knew how. I was the middleman between my team and the top associates. I was the first go-to person for any inventory questions, as my task included ensuring we had enough thermostats and HVAC units in stock. I have since moved up to director of products, and my role has changed. My first role opened me up to how the company runs and what is needed to run successfully.
