With the pandemic, multiple industries have greatly suffered the loss of jobs.
Many people have been left jobless, and having worked in the industry for a decade, I was scared that I would end up like my colleagues in other sectors.
The pandemic made work from home preferable, so a/c servicemen had no chance. The cooling industry saw a niche and decided to help out its workers. Directors of several air conditioner companies came together and devised strategies to create more jobs. For instance, the industry digitalized the products and services they offered instead of patrons going to the physical offices. They would log into the online locale and put in their request, which the workman would earn and delegate to any available worker. Both of us bumped up our work gear to include PPEs for our air conditioner workers to protect themselves when they went for jobs at a customer’s house, including Heating plus A/C replacements, air conditioner repairs, and the annual Heating plus A/C repair. Digitalizing the work created so multiple jobs for engineers. Whenever a purchaser wanted an accessory, such as filters to improve the air quality, and thermostats for their multi-split a/cs, the request would go to the air conditioner providers and send the delivery to the customer’s house. Both of us hired writers who guess more about air conditioner to advertise the quality Heating plus A/C component and services and write copy to draw patrons. Though some companies are warming up to the digitalized world, worker jobs are again popular with the young generation as the world goes back to normal. Even when the world was locked in our houses, the people I was with and I still needed quality air conditioners to deliver indoor comfort.
