I adore to disinfect my current home from top to bottom during the middle of the winter.
In the Spring, there is simply too much to do outside.
In January, when the outdoor temperature drops down into the drawback digits, I’m trapped inside, and there’s plenty of time to do a legitimately thorough task. I launder bedding plus curtains, clean down all the moldings plus transfer furniture. I disinfect under plus behind the refrigerator plus take the time to empty all of the kitchen cupboards. I even climb a ladder plus clean the ceilings plus overhead light fixtures. This past year, when I stood on a ladder, I instantly started to sweat. I realized that the temperature near the ceiling was much higher than down near the floor. This meant that the heated air offered by the oil furnace was rising straight up plus getting wasted. It was necessary to set higher control unit settings to achieve comfort. The oil furnace was running just about non stop plus consuming a wonderful deal of energy to satisfy demand. I needed to figure out a way to get the heat off the ceiling plus down closer to the floor. Ceiling fans offered the perfect solution! A bit of research showed myself and others a wide variation in designs, sizes plus prices of ceiling fans. I was able to find models that include a light plus suit my decor, my husband plus I handled the upgrade as a DIY project… Every one of us run the ceiling fans clockwise in the Winter time to create an updraft plus circulate sizzling air around the room. This has significantly improved comfort, allowed a lower control unit setting plus trimmed our heating costs. In the summer, with the flick of a switch, the people I was with and I reverse the direction of the ceiling fans to create a downdraft plus a cooling breeze.
