I realized that real estate agencies don’t really know anything. The woman showed up late, knew little about the property and took a percentage of the sale. She was always motivated to sell, not find the best deal for me. I started learning the way of the game. I cut out real estate agents whenever possible now. Why should they get a percentage for doing nothing? I desperately want my wife to become a real estate agent so all the money can stay in the same family. Honestly, my favorite deals are when I can find homes for sale that are strictly cash. That way I eliminate the real estate agent, all the paperwork and financial aspects. It is more straightforward and clean. There seems to be less time invested as well. I have found that I am good at finding residential homes for sale, duplexes for sale and even commercial real estate. I just need to be patient and dig around. I also constantly check zillow to see if there is anything new up and coming. I am always willing to tour or chat with a seller too. You never know when you have the next good deal on your hands. It pays to be patient, check the whole property over and get the best possible deal. I also try to save money when I can, hence why cutting the real estate agent works for me.
