When the heating and cooling guy came out to perform the tune-ups on my HVAC system. I told him about how I was looking to get another heating and AC system that would be better at saving energy and I asked him if he had any suggestions. I figured he’d be one of the best people to ask since he’s a heating and cooling tech and not all workers know everything there is to know about heating and cooling systems. That is why he gave me an excellent recommendation in which he told me that I should get a geothermal heat pump. He explained that a heat pump is a system that is installed underneath the ground and it converts liquids into heat or cool air based on what I need. He told me not only save energy but they last much longer than traditional heating and cooling systems. He kept going on and on telling me about all these great benefits. I asked him what the catch was because I knew that there was no way there was a heating and cooling that was this great with there being some kind of catch. He told me there wasn’t a catch but that there was something I needed to be aware of and that was that it is expensive upfront however they are well worth the cost in the long run. Saving money in the long run is something I like to hear. He suggested I do more research on geothermal heat pumps and so that’s exactly what I’m going to do. I’ll look at some geothermal heat pumps and see if they are right for me.
