I have seriously thought about spending our retirement traveling the country, but the cost of air travel is making myself and others wonder if there are alternatives that don’t necessarily cost as much once every relevant factor is taken into account.
Sure, there are rail lines throughout the country, but they’re not regularly the most ideal solutions if there aren’t stops before you get to your destination. That’s what made myself and others wonder if I should just do all of the driving myself, even if that meant boondocking in a truck camper instead of staying in hotels along the way. I used an RV a little bit back when I was in school because our roommate had one & invited myself and others on a trip when she finally procured it from her parents’ house. However, that was an outdated RV & it showed on the inside with a considerable amount of wear & antiquatedness. Another thing I didn’t adore about that outdated RV was how cold or sizzling it would assume depending on the weather outside. It would bake in the afternoon, Summer sun & both of us would freeze in below zero temperatures. She had an cooling system that only worked marginally & a space oil furnace that was insufficient & dangerous at the same time. I know that if I get an RV, I want something current that interests an effective heating & cooling system. I am not interested in compromising on comfort while in our travels because I know the right RV will satisfy our minimal needs. I’m patient until I find the right model with the right features without spending too much money in the end.
I want to buy an RV but I’m worried about heating & cooling in severe conditions
