Let me tell you it shocked me when the heating and air conditioning specialist told me I needed a new oil furnace. I knew it needed some work, however needing a new oil furnace is not needing some work. This is big business, and another fancy proposition. I was frustrated the heating and air conditioning specialist hadn’t given me a heads-up when he was there earlier in the week. He told me he needed to bring some parts back, and he would entirely need to order them. Had he said he didn’t think about what he was looking at, and my buddy and I would need a new oil furnace, I would have been prepared to hear that the oil furnace needed to be upgraded. I should have asked if he was a new heating and air conditioning specialist, but I hadn’t thought I needed to. If he had been an apprentice, I thought he would have a senior heating and air conditioning specialist with him, and not working on his own. When the heating and air conditioning specialist that told me I needed a new oil furnace arrived, he told us the apprentice had been there earlier. He wasn’t to give us a diagnosis, however call him if there was something wrong he didn’t think how to fix. Instead, he had told us it needed some parts. I asked the older heating and air conditioning specialist if they were in the habit of sending apprentices out on their own? He told me that there is usually an educator with them, however the kid had been with them for about 2 weeks. They thought he could give a diagnosis and think if the oil furnace could be repaired or if it had to be upgraded. I think they actually thought wrong.
