We called an exterminator to have a yellow jacket taken care of

I recently purchased my first investment property… And though it needs some renovations before I could do anything with it, I am so happy about starting the process, however the renovations should go smoothly because my husband Kevin is a carpenter, and he will be doing most of the remodeling! Of course, I will help as well, especially when it’s time to do the painting; When the two of us were in the process of buying the home, I observed that there was a substantial nest situated inside an aged tree stump in the backyard.

At first, I didn’t think it would be a problem and Kevin thought that once the two of us purchased the home, he could disconnect it himself.

The nest was big, and I believed that it was best to contact an exterminator to have it disconnectd. We identified it as a yellow blazer wasp nest and they are usually aggressive, especially if their nests are disturbed, and i didn’t want Kevin to take the option of getting stung various times by these wasps, especially because he didn’t have any experience removing a nest of that size. So, I was able to convince him to call an exterminator instead. Thankfully, the exterminator was able to disconnect the nest without any incidents. While he performed the yellow blazer extermination, he wore protective gear. In some ways, I was blissful that Kevin witnessed this because it just validated why I didn’t want him removing the nest by himself. In some situations, it’s just best to call the professionals to repair the problem. Now that the yellow blazer nest is out of the way, the two of us began the renovations on our investment property, and everything is going well so far.
