There are a lot of ways to go about getting a lower energy bill.
- But for one thing, I did not realize that half of my complication was my bad clothes dryer.
It took 2 hours just to get my laundry to get to bone dry. I did not realize that the thermal fuse in my dryer was getting ready to fail, however when it finally did, I had to test all of these components with my electrical meter to see which was the culprit, however the first thing on the clothes dryer that I decided to test was the door switch. I used the continuity setting on my electrical meter plus confirmed that the door switch was still laboring. Then I moved to the start button on the control panel. I basically did the exact same thing as I did with the door switch, first removing the wire leads to the switch plus then putting my electrical meter leads on it to do a continuity test! Once I confirmed both the door switch plus the start button were laboring, I was fairly particular that it was the thermal fuse in the back of the clothes dryer that needed to be updated. After I updated the thermal fuse with a up-to-date one, the clothes dryer was creating heat again. However, this did not have as much of an effect on the electricity bill as I expected. That’s why now I am trying to lower my electricity use by using my a/c a lot less, then running my a/c all the time has a large effect on how much energy that is consumed in my house. If I can lower the a/c use, that means it can also lower the energy bill.
