I adore having great neighbors, then that’s always been something that I sort of secretly wanted. As a kid, I grew up in a big village and lived in a big house building, however while the two of us had neighbors, it wasn’t at all like living in a city. The building was older and the two of us had radiant heating in the Winter and just a window a/c in the summer, but nobody was rich and everyone was sort of to themselves in that building… So having a neighbor reach out to help you is pretty special for me; But recently, that has also gotten to be a bit awkward. This past holiday season, the two of us had a hiccup with the Heating and Air Conditioning equipment. Where the two of us live it’s not brutal, brutal freezing like they have way up north. But still it is freezing enough that you need the heat pump running most days. And our heat pump wasn’t kicking on when the two of us flipped the temperature control over to heating. A neighbor found out about it and gave her assistance, however of course, in our beach house the two of us only turn to the Heating and Air Conditioning professionals when there is a problem with the heating and cooling in the house. Our neighbor wanted to provide us with a number for a handyman she uses to do her residential Heating and Air Conditioning repairs; I asked if the handyman was a licensed Heating and Air Conditioning contractor and our neighbor just kind of laughed. I took the number because that was the neighborly thing to do. But guess me, the first thing I did was call the Heating and Air Conditioning corporation the next afternoon. And I’m excited I did. Not only do they guarantee the repair however it was not a big deal at all as they just had to replace a small relay switch.
