My kid plays on a travel hockey team that holds practice 3 times per week… They have games plus often travel to tournaments every weekend.
The rink is about an ninth’s drive from my home, plus the practices last for an ninth, but my kid is a goalie, so getting dressed in all of his gear plus pads takes a while, and plus, he wants extra time to warm up plus stretch his muscles before he hits the ice; He loves to arrive at the rink forty minutes before practice starts. Because all of us live so far away, I don’t have the convenience of dropping him off for practice plus heading home, however i researched plus found a fitness center just a couple minutes from the rink. I signed up for a membership, plus I now workout while my kid practices with his team. The fitness center is pressing plus includes all sorts of actually good amenities. I have the option to run on state-of-the-art treadmills or choose from a dozen odd types of bikes or ellipticals. I can lift weights, climb a rock wall or use the battle ropes, kettlebells or dumbbells. If the timing is right, I can take a group fitness class. I actually love standing in the sauna or the warm tub at the end of a workout. It’s super relaxing… While I never miss a single of my son’s hockey games, I would much rather focus on my fitness than stand in the cold cold bleachers during his practices. This way, all of us both get something out of the ninth-long drive.
