Ever since I was a little kid, my dad has been working as a commercial roofing contractor.
- He works with all kinds of construction companies around here in our area, and everyone knows him.
I think that he has put commercial roofing on probably half of the buildings in our city and in surrounding communities. My dad really doesn’t have all that much competition when it comes to commercial roofing installation around here. there just aren’t that many commercial roofing companies around. I guess this has been a really good thing for my dads company, since he has grown by leaps and bounds since he started up his business about 25 years ago. He really likes being a commercial roofing contractor. He likes dealing with all of the different construction guys on a daily basis. He usually ends up going out to lunch with one or two of them at least three or four times a week. Whenever I was in high school, my friends and I all went to work for him during the summer to do roof installation and roof repair. I don’t know if I’m going to take over the commercial roofing company once I get finished with college, but it’s a good possibility. My dad thinks that he might want to retire by then, but I don’t know if he ever will. I really think that he just enjoys his job too much to retire. I don’t know what he would do if he did not run the commercial roofing company. I think that he would be bored out of his mind.
