Last week my husband came home from work and told me that he was going to quit his job.
This immediately made me nervous as it would any wife.
I asked him to explain why he felt the need to leave his current job, the job market was bad enough as it is. He said he was tired of working for someone else and wanted to start his own business. I understand the want to set your own hours and make your own rules, but this just sounded really extreme. My husband said he wanted to start his own local heating and cooling business that was a reliable place for his friends and family to get their HVAC equipment services. The choice to open a HVAC company came as a shock to me because my husband has never expressed an interest in heating and cooling equipment before. To be completely honest I am not entirely sure he knows how to fix a HVAC system. He said that he would hire people to go out at actually fix the HVAC systems and we would run the day to day operations. I had many concerns with this idea and thought maybe he was having a midlife crisis. However, he put together a legit business plan and found reliable backers and employees so I think his idea is going to work out well. I just hope that he knows what he is doing, I don’t want him to wake up one day and regret his decision, but I guess only time will tell that.

One thing that I absolutely hate do it is to argue.
My friends and family say that I am a passive aggressive person, but I think to think of if differently.
I just don’t see the point of having an argument when you can just sit down with someone and talk about a problem rationally. While I wish I could say that my roommate felt the same way, but after last weeks events I think I can honestly say I think she loves conflict and drama. I have lived with my current roommate for about four years now, we went to the same college and lived in the same dorm. I started to notice that when I got home from work the air conditioner was blasting and our apartment was freezing cold. After about a week of changing the temperature and moving on I was confronted by my roommate. She said that I was being selfing about constantly changing the thermostat from the temperature she set it at. She said that I always wanted the apartment to be warmer so we could save money on the energy bill. While this is true, I had never thought of my changing the temperature of the thermostat as being selfish. I just honestly thought that she was forgetting to turn it down when she left for work. I don’t want to argue about the temperature we set our heating and cooling system to. So, I am just going to let her keep the thermostat at whatever temperature she likes and I am not going to say a word about it.

I love to go shopping. Some people might even say that I have an addiction to having the latest and greatest of everything. I had never heard of these smart thermostats before and I was intrigued. I listened to the HVAC specialist talk about the smart thermostat for about thirty minutes and knew right away that I wanted to get one for myself. The best part about the smart thermostat was that it would also help me save money by automatically setting the temperature of my house. I was thrilled and brought the smart thermostat home with me that day. It was really easy to install and I didn’t even need to call the HVAC specialist for any help. I was really happy I could spend and save money all at once!

My boyfriend, Bob, and I decided that we wanted to take a cross country road trip.
When have never taken a trip like this before and we were both really excited.
We took a week and a half off of work to make sure we had enough time to see everything we wanted to. We planned to drive for about 2,000 miles total and we had a bunch of really awesome national treasures to see. Before we could start getting too excited though we knew we had a lot to do to prepare before leaving. I was in charge of making sure that we had all the supplies we would need. We are going to camp while traveling instead of paying money for expensive hotels. Bob is in charge of making sure that all the maintence on the car is taken care of. We set off on our road trip and within about an hour the air conditioner stopped working. I thought maybe the settings weren’t set properly. But, to my dismay the air conditioner would not blow cool air at all. I thought Bob was going to take care of getting these things taken care of, but apparently he didn’t think about getting the air conditioner checked. Well luckily I was able to find a local HVAC company nearby that specializes in car HVAC systems. They had an appointment within the hour so it was perfect. They had the air conditioner up and running within thirty minutes and we were back on the road. Next time I will just handle everything before we leave!

I am cheerful that she was open to the idea of having my air ducts cleaned because the last thing my nice friend and I both need is for my house to catch on fire just because the air ducts were dirty! Now I can turn on the heat without having a care in the world.
